Welcoming foreign students

Argentine, Colombian, Brazilian, Tunisian, Russian, Spanish, German students: they have chosen the ENISE!
In the academic year 2011/2012, the ENISE has enrolled about 60 foreign students.

Among them 12 Brazilians, 12 Argentines, 10 Colombians, 6 Tunisians, 4 Russians, 3 Spanish, 2 Germans, etc., some of them for a dual degree program or a full year, others for a Master program or internship in laboratory.

At the crossroads of the academic success, language skills and intercultural know-how represent the greatest advantage when confronting a new study environment. A good command of French is an essential skill necessary for the quality of each case of student mobility: semester, year, etc.

Aware of these issues, the ENISE organizes annually summer internship as well as weekly classes in French language for the international audience of future engineers.

The International Club is also there to provide personal counsel and to support the integration of the foreign students. This means organizing extra school activities as, for example, nights where they and their respective countries are at the spotlight, outings providing opportunities to meet and develop friendships with other ENISE students, French culture nights devoted specially to them, etc. But sometimes it is also to welcome them at the airport or the railway station, to answer their questions, to guide them on the functioning of the ENISE, but above all to make them discover Saint Etienne, to help their integration into the city, and to support them to settle into their new living environment.
