Incoming Mobility

The ENISE welcomes about 13.6% of international students coming from about 20 different countries every year.
Among them, students coming from Brazil, Argentina, Colombia, Tunisia, Cameroon, Russia, Spain, Germany, Slovenia, Moldova, the United States, etc.

Some are here as exchange students for one semester or a year (in French), or for dual degrees (in French), while others are here for master courses (in French or in English), internships in laboratory (in French or in English), or to take part to our Summer School (in English).

The ENISE knows that a successful integration into a new city and school is often a key factor in the quality of the mobility of these foreign students. As a consequence, in order to provide those students with the means necessary to succeed in their studies in France, the School organises each year a summer internship (intensive French courses, help with administrative procedures, discovery of the city) at the end of August, as well as weekly courses of French as a Foreign Language for its audience of future engineers. The International Club is also there to ensure the patronage and integration of these foreign students. This involves organising international events highlighting their culture, organising entertaining outings to meet other Eniseans, answering their questions, etc.

From the end of August to mid-October, the ENISE is involved in the Students Welcome Desk along with the city of Saint-Etienne and other higher education institutions in order to reserve a privileged welcome to foreign students and lecturers-researchers. A space located in the city centre enables them to be guided in terms of: residence permits, accommodation, transports, culture and leisure, healthcare.
