Coopéra

Goal of the project

The goal is to create both school-related and scientific links between the site in Saint-Etienne in Rhône-Alpes (France) and the site in Campana, in the provinces of Buenos Aires (Argentina) around the field of metal-mechanics and its new developments, in order to encourage the implementation of a structuring and durable collaboration between our regions.

Phases of the project

> 2015/2016

1. VIRTUAL ENGINEERING CAMPUS:

What is it?: A virtual classroom with online classes and downloadable documents (from a specialist in the field, either a lecturer-researcher in one of the partner schools or a professional worker).
Audience: teachers and students from partner schools.
Frequency: Once a month.
Period: March to July 2016.
Language: English

2. SMEF 2016: Sustainable Mechanical Engineering Forum (24 October to 5 November 2016) in Argentina

What is it?: French and Argentinian meetings destined to students in Mechanical Engineering from partner school and their lecturer-researchers.

Programme: Lectures (given by professors, scientists and professionals), workshops about thematic reflections, visits of companies, mini-project to lead in mixed groups, cultural activities.

Goal of the SMEF: As the high point of the project, the SMEF will enable students and lecturer-researchers to give an overview of the progress made as well as the progress to be anticipated in the field of metal-mechanics, especially when it comes to sustainable development. It may potentially generate joined projects of research, as well as mobility projects between France and Argentina.

Place: UTN-FRD, Campana, Argentina
Dates: 24 October to 5 November 2016
How to register: See with the contacts below

> 2016/2017
1. VIRTUAL ENGINEERING CAMPUS:

Long-distance work of a group of students from Argentina and from ENISE around a project of sensory alarm clock (“design” phase from February to April, “re-design/finishing of the product” phase from May to July)

Discovery of collaborative engineering and sensory design.

Work punctuated by online lectures given by lecturer-researchers from ENISE and UTN-FRD.

2.  Forum COOPERA at ENISE (18 to 28 April 2017)

What is it? We welcome 5 Argentinian students with their professor (from the UTN-FRD University) for two weeks of practical works in common with 9 of our students in sensory engineering and several of our teachers in mechanical and sensory engineering.

Programme: Lectures in English, workshops about thematic reflections, visits of companies and technological platforms, mini-project of sensory alarm clock to lead in mixed group (“prototype” phase), cultural activities.

3. Forum COOPERA at UTN-FRD in Argentina (30 October to 10 November 2017)

What is it?: French and Argentinian meeting destined for students in mechanical and physical engineering from partner schools and their lecturer-researchers.

Programme: Lectures (given by professors, scientists and professional workers), workshops about thematic reflections, visits of companies, mini-project of sensory alarm clock to lead in mixed group (“test and characterisation” phase), cultural activities.

Goal of this forum: As the high point of this project, this forum will enable students and lecturer-researchers to give an overview of the technological progress made as well as the progress to be anticipated in their field, especially concerning the usefulness of collaborative engineering and the new possibilities enabled by 3D printing. It may potentially generate joined projects of research as well as mobility projects between France and Argentina.

Place: UTN-FRD, Campana, Argentina
Dates: 30 October to 10 November 2017
