Certificate in Research Training (from 15 up to 60 ECTS)

The Certificate in Research Training is an Institution Diploma. 30 ECTS (one semester) or 60 ECTS (two semesters) can be awarded. An essential part of the program is an extended research project carried out in LTDS –Laboratory of Tribology and System Dynamics –UMR CNRS 5513. For a full-year program, it is possible to perform two different research projects: a project in a semester.

For students postulating for a yearlong research project, that is, the first semester in LTDS, and the second (remunerated) in a partner industrial company, 100 hours of academic courses in the first semester will be mandatory, in parallel with the research project, in order to qualify as an intern, under French employment law.

Students can attend any engineering level course (3, 4, or 5-year courses), either as auditors or for credits.

Not French-speaking students take lessons of French as a Foreign Language provided by ENISE.

The Institution Diploma is awarded on the basis of a written report and an oral examination in front of a jury. Teaching staff of the home university would be part of the jury provided it is conform to the French and the local law.

The entire program is conducted in English.
